Ron and I at 6 months of age. I haven't a clue which one is me.
This lovely picture from May of 1970 ended up in our high school yearbook
our senior year. I'm on the left.
Back in 1972, Ron and I made what I believe to be one of our first
appearances together in our local paper. Our church had an annual Christmas
party, which included a visit from Santa. He killed two birds with one stone
and took our request at the same time. (I'm on the right.) We were in the
paper several more times in our lives, but it's nice to see one that doesn't
involve a police report.
Again, I don't know exactly when this picture is either, but let's say
early 70's again. My dad is blowing out the candles on his birthday cake,
which would put it around May 19. I'm in the middle, and apparently, I'm
ready for some cake.
I'm also fuzzy on the exact date of this picture, but let's say early
70's again. It's good to see my mom figured out how to deal with those whiny
kids of hers.
I believe this picture was taken when I was 4. My sister was in
elementary school, and on her school picture day my mom had Ron and me get
pictures taken as well. Obviously, I'm ecstatic about getting dressed up and
having my picture taken.
Our first year of Little League baseball in 1975. I'm in the middle of
the front row, and Ron is next to me, as you can see in the closeup.
(L-R) Stephen Hudson, Ron, me, and Kathy Walker are bobbing for
apples at a Halloween carnival at our local elementary school in 1976. We had
been bobbing several times already, which is why some of us have apples in
our hands. This picture appeared in our local paper.
(L-R) Ron, Andy Lagunas, and me before a Little League baseball
game sometime around 1977.
My peewee football team showing off our trophies after the championship
game in 1978. Losing the game doesn't seem to have dampened our enthusiasm.
I'm number 82 and Ron is number 66.
Ron and I standing next to our 85 IROC-Z. I'm sure the women loved us for
our incredible personalities and not our car.
Rhonda and I on the way to the National Honor Society banquet in the
spring of 1986. Fortunately, my ability to tie a tie has improved since then.
As seniors, Ron and I introducing a song at the high school band's final
concert of the spring. Apparently, I've launched into yet another story.
My group of friends at our high school prom in 1986. We called ourselves
the Senior Stud Corp, because no one else ever did. I'm on the top
row, far left and Ron is in the front.
Ron, me, and our friend Susan at our high school prom. Susan wanted a
picture with her favorite classmates, but they weren't available.
A picture of Cathy and I in the spring of 1986. It appeared in our local
paper when valedictorian and salutatorian were announced. Don't we look
thrilled?
