Ron, Grunt (our mascot), James Redding, and me enjoying spring break in South
Padre in March of 1987.
During spring break, some twin girls wanted to get their picture taken
with another set of twins. I'm on the left, which means the other guy is Ron.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the girls' names.
Also during spring break in 1987, I found true love with a lovely young
lady from Kansas, Stacey. Our relationship was so true it lasted the
ENTIRE week of spring break.
Me (on the left) and Ron in front of the University Police Department
at Texas Tech. I'm sure we're just taking care of minor traffic violations or
buying a parking permit.
My brother Ron refueling a T-38 and me launching one at Sheppard AFB in
the summer of 1988. During college, our summer job involved launching,
refueling, and performing minor maintenance (i.e. checking tire pressure,
cleaning bugs off the windscreen) on T-38s.
Me, flying a T-37 flight simulator at Reese AFB in Lubbock. The images
onscreen were controlled by the guys in the booth via computer software.
Conditions, such as weather, could be varied depending on the needs of the
student pilot.
Me (on the left) and Ron standing on the fountains behind the Texas Tech
seal. Yes, the "relief" is pretend, and no, those aren't the only shorts I
owned in college.
(L-R) Ron, Pete Wenzel, Chad Harper, and me getting our Bachelor
of Science degrees in computer science from Texas Tech in May of 1990. I'm
working those bangs!
