I was born and raised in
Iowa Park,
TX, a small town in north Texas (population 6400). |
 |
I have two brothers, Richard and my twin
brother Ron, and one sister, Teresa. I'm the youngest, on a technicality. |
 |
I graduated from Iowa
Park High School in May of 1986 with honors. Yes, your honor ... No,
your honor ... |
 |
I graduated in May of 1990 with a BS in
Computer Science (minor in Psychology)
from Texas Tech University. |
 |
For my work history, see my
resume. |
 |
FYI: I am NOT a
Congressman for the lovely state of Alaska. That's a different
Don Young. |
 |
Also, I do not make windows for your
house. Again, that's a different
Don Young. |
 |
Growing up, my first car was a black
1985 Chevy IROC Z-28 that I shared with my
brother. After college, I bought a red 1991 Eagle
Talon TSI which served me well for 8 years. My all-time favorite car
(that I hope to own someday) is the 1969 Chevy Camaro SS. |
 |
I was a Big
Brother to Chris Martin for over
7.5 years, starting September 29, 1992. Our match officially ended (as far as
Big Brothers was concerned) when he graduated high school in May of 2000. We
still get together when our schedules allow and catch a movie or play laser
tag. Sometimes, I let him kick my butt in video games. Despite my best
efforts, he turned out OK. |
 |
In the past, I've ridden a few of the
Houston-to-Austin MS150 bike rides. Due to time
constraints, laziness, and a litany of other excuses, the last one I rode was
in 1997. |
 |
Digit number at which my birth date
(10/7/67) occurs in pi? 105209.
Find yours. I swear I'm
not a geek. |
 |
I infrequently write about things
that have happened to me in my Quarterly Don Report |
 |
After millions of requests, I've finally
added a picture gallery. (Okay, there were only
two requests, and they were made by relatives.) |
